My Story

For most of my early twenties, I was not thinking about wellness. I was living life, and that included periods of heavy drinking and drug use that took a real toll on my body without me fully realizing it. By the time I started noticing the signs, my body had been quietly struggling for years. Severe cramping. Stubborn weight that would not budge. Acne that shook my confidence and an exhaustion that ran bone deep. When I finally turned to my doctors for answers, I was told it was perfectly fine to take birth control continuously so that I would not have a menstrual bleed at all. My body rejected that idea, and so did my spirit. As women, we are designed to bleed. Our cycle is not an inconvenience to be suppressed. It is one of the most powerful indicators of our overall health, and silencing it does not solve the problem. It simply masks it.

In 2023, I made the decision to stop managing my symptoms and start truly healing. What I discovered changed everything. My body was not broken and it was not betraying me. It was communicating. My hormones were imbalanced, my gut was not functioning optimally, and my liver was not clearing and detoxing the way it should. Once I stopped chasing quick fixes and started honoring the whole picture, everything began to shift. My energy returned. My body found its rhythm. And for the first time in years, I felt truly at home in my own skin.

That journey is what led me here, to this work, and to you. I became a certified Integrative Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition because I knew I could not keep this to myself. Too many women are sitting in the same place I once was, frustrated, dismissed, and quietly wondering why nothing seems to work. At Blackburn Wellness, I work with menstruating women who are ready to stop settling for fine and start living in full alignment with their body, mind, spirit, and relationships. Through a holistic, whole-life approach that honors the deep connection between gut health, hormonal balance, nourishment, and lifestyle, I guide each woman toward meaningful, sustainable shifts that create lasting change from the inside out.

My approach is rooted in the belief that the body is wise, that symptoms are messengers, and that true wellness goes far beyond what is on your plate. I hold space for the whole woman, her physical health, her emotional world, her relationships, her sense of purpose, and her joy. Every woman I work with receives personalized guidance that meets her exactly where she is, without judgment and without overwhelm.
